Early Life:

Mrs. Madhavi Latha hails from a humble family from Hyderabad. She did her schooling in Hyderabad and graduated from Nizam College, where she was a Student leader and chief coordinator during her final year proving her mettle as a formidable leader. She completed her post graduation in Political Sciences from Osmania University with distinction. During her schooling, she also participated in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi

A versatile dancer; Ms. Madhavi Latha is a trained dancer in classical bharatanatyam giving over 100 performances as a solo performer and as a member of a ballet group. Her performances have received a fair share of acclamation from critics and discerning audiences over the years.

Mrs. Latha’s fine oratory skills have held diverse set of audiences spellbound. She has been invited by prestigious forums to deliver talks. She was recently invited to address 1000 police personnel on “International Girl Child’s Day”.

An ardent follower of Indic traditions she was given the honor to be panel speaker at Ramakrishna Mutt and Kanchi Kamakoti Peeth. She has delivered inspirational lectures at several educational institutions. A humanitarian with unbounded energy; 

 

Professional Achievements

As a successful mother: MadhaviLatha has home schooled all three of her children and was able to provide best education and all round growth for all of them. Her eldest daughter, Lopa Mudra, is the youngest girl ever to join the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, at the age of 15

As a successful wife: MadhaviLatha has helped her husband, Mr Viswanath, an IIT Madras Alumnus, at every step to build his business  from Hyderabad, having operations across world in the domains of IT, Bio-Tech, Healthcare & Infrastructure 

Social Work Accomplishments

MLK- A Woman on a Mission Ms. Madhavi Latha firmly believes that no matter however impactful an individual may be, his sphere of influence is limited to that company, family, group and not beyond. He/She has to rise above and beyond their individual sphere of activity to a Social sphere of Influence. Only then will India prosper into a Developed Nation.

As a social changer: She worked with several Muslim women groups on the issue of triple talak and was the only Hindu lady to talk openly in the heart of the Muslim majority Charminar area about abolition of triple talak. She created a small fund specifically for destitute Muslim woman and the first recipients received the fund, by one of the RSS key members Shri Indereshji. She is also the Vice-President of FANS India (Forum for Awareness of National Security) and Vice-President of Samskruthi Telengana State, both organisations being off shoots of the RSS.

As a Philanthropist: She is active on social service and is the Trustee of Viswanadha Foundation and Lopamudra Charitable Trust and has taken up several social and philanthropic activities, some of which include:

Free medicines distribution for the entire pregnancy period for destitute women: Full medicine kits are given free, to 10,800 pregnant women in Andhra and Telangana to-date.

Medical camps: The Trust organized 3888 free medical health camps to date.

Construction of Toilets: Constructed 2176 number of toilets for poor families in villages in Ananthapur District to date.

Installed Road divider signages across the city of Hyderabad to avert accidents at night caused due to road dividers.

Distributed two Trucks load of food, clothes and medicines during 2009 floods of Tungabhadra River by personally travelling 1200 km and reaching out to all the remote marooned villages.

Free Junior College for girls: Ran a Junior College for poor girl children for 8 academic years with 480 students’ joining and successfully clearing the exams.

Installed Electricity Connections, free of cost to 254 Anganawadi Centers in 35 Mandals in Ananthapur District.

Provided free medical insurance to 7600 working women for 5 years.

As a Zealous Upholder of Hindu tradition: Ms Madhavi Latha is an avid orator & and is a panel speaker at Ramakrishna Mutt & Kanchi Mutt and has given lectures at several Educational institutions.
